Robots Visit Public Library Today, April 19, 2018
Robots and early arrivals patiently wait for more attendees this morning for an "Introduction to Robotics" program at a local library. Participants were treated to a combination presentation and hands-on demonstration session that lasted a little over an hour. Everyone, including visiting parents, enjoyed this informational and educational program that gave them an overview of what robots are, what the field of robotics involves, where robots are found, how all of this relates to STEM education, and what they can do to get more involved in robotics. During the hands on portion, children on Spring vacation, got to play with and observe in action Cubelets from Modular Robotics, Kibo from KinderLab Robotics, EV3 from Lego Mindstorms, and NAO from Softbank (formerly Aldebaran) Robotics.
